MICHAEL BROWN
Chief Executive Officer

After a successful stint in the IT sector, Michael became an adviser to then Federal ALP Spokesperson for Science and IT, Hon Martyn Evans MP, in 1998.

In 2002, Michael became an adviser to then SA Minister for Mineral Resource Development and Minister for Fisheries and Food, Hon Paul Holloway MLC.

In 2003, Michael was appointed adviser to then Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Police, Hon Kevin Foley MP.

Michael was the Deputy Campaign Director for the Australian Labor Party’s 2006 State Election, which Labor won with a record majority.  At the 2006 State Convention, he was elected as State Secretary of the ALP, a role he held throughout the parliamentary term from 2006-2010.  He was re-elected as State Secretary in 2010, following the Rann Government’s re‑election to an historic third consecutive term.

Michael resigned as State Secretary of the ALP in July 2011 to take up his role as our Chief Executive.
